Our beloved Senger hottie has become something of a cult product since it's landed on our shores some years back. It is the purest toy you could could give to your child- which is why so many parents trust it with their newborn babies- and it is completely made by hand, so it's stitch perfect.
Every toy is made by hand from sustainably reared wool sourced from the Eifel region in Germany, where wool production is a speciality dating back to the 1500's. The cotton used for these toys comes from organic growers in Peru.
The most wonderful thing about a Senger hottie however, is without a doubt, the stuffing. Senger toys are filled with dried organic cherry stones or spelt, a detail which elevates them to a truly sustainable, eco toy. The inner cushion can be removed from inside the toy and gently warmed in a microwave, oven, or on a radiator, before being reinserted to make the toy into a cuddly hottie. You can also cool it down in your freezer, turning the toy into a soothing, cooling compress.
